MOSCOW, October 9 (RIA Novosti) - Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi has tasked the Supreme Security Committee with setting up an investigative commission to probe a deadly bomb blast that ripped through Tahrir Square in the nation's capital city Sanaa early on Thursday.

A separate commission was established to conduct an inquiry into a second bombing that hit a Houthi-run checkpoint west of the al-Mukalla port city in the country's southeast.

The security committee said that its forces "will do everything possible to look for those responsible for these terror attacks until they have been found and brought to justice," according to its official statement.

"Yemeni law enforcement and military will bend every effort to fulfill their obligations to uphold peace and security… and create conditions for a nationwide dialogue…" the statement declared.

Both blasts targeted Houthi rebels, who overran Sanaa on September 21 to force the Yemeni government conduct political reforms.

The explosion in Tahrir Square was aimed at a massive Houthi gathering, killing 47 and wounding dozens. The one at the army checkpoint killed 20 and hurt 12.
