DONETSK, September 12 (RIA Novosti) – The self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is ready to guarantee the safety of experts willing to inspect the crash site of a Malaysian plane in eastern Ukraine.

"No one contacted me so far. I have no idea why they are sitting in Kiev instead of coming here," DPR Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Purgin said, adding that currently there are no military actions in the area.

"Who wants, they have already come to the scene. It is calm there now," Purgin said.

There are still human remains at the crash site, Purgin said. "This is a 20-square kilometer area. There are many fragments there," he added.

The Malaysia Airlines MH17 flight, en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17. All 298 people on board, including 283 passengers and 15 crew members, died in the crash.

On Tuesday, the Dutch Safety Board released a preliminary report on the Malaysian aircraft downing assuming that the plane had broken up in mid-air as a result of being hit by a large number of high-energy objects that had penetrated the plane from the outside.

The final report should be produced by the board within a year.
