FERGUSON, MO, AUGUST 21 (RIA Novosti) – Police harassment in the most African-American suburbs of Ferguson, Missouri that has been rocked by protests since the police killing of an unarmed African-American teenager are comparable to “acts of terrorism”, protestor Damon Davis told RIA Novosti.
“The police take care of their own affairs internally, like the military. That is wrong, because they are perpetrating acts of terrorism on a community of civilians and there is no accountability. That is what happening in this country on so many different levels,” Davis said.
“Ferguson’s protests should lead to legislation and stricter laws to police the police. There’s no community review board for police. A citizen review board that investigates these situations will be the best long term solution for the problems here,” the protestor elaborated.
Ferguson has been rocked by protests since the police killing of Michael Brown as he walked with a friend on a residential street on the afternoon of August 9.
