The armored train of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il arrived at the Russian-Chinese border station on Thursday afternoon, a police spokesman said.
Kim Jong-il is returning home after talks with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
Four journalists from the Japanese Sapporo Television Broadcasting channel were detained earlier on Thursday at the station Tarskaya in the Trans-Baikal region after an attempt to video Kim's train. They were fined and released after questioning.
