Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday expressed hope that Russia would finish the WTO accession in 2011, which would remove obstacles in developing economic relations with the United States.
"I hope this process will be completed this year with the active support of the United States," Medvedev said during a meeting with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden who is on an official visit to Russia.
Biden said he approved of Russia's membership in the WTO and backed the cancelation of the Jackson-Vanik amendment.
