The Russia-NATO Council has approved a 2011 military cooperation working plan, the military alliance said on Thursday.
The plan to "deepen and broaden" NATO-Russia military cooperation was approved during a Russia-NATO Council meeting on Wednesday and covers six main areas of partnership.
These include the fight against terrorism and piracy, logistics, joint search and rescue operations at sea, as well as theatre missile defense and military academic exchanges.
The Russia-NATO Council members also hailed the Council's Consolidated Glossary of Cooperation to be published later this year under the joint editorship of the chief of the Russian General Staff, Army Gen. Nikolai Makarov and NATO Military Committee Chairman, Admiral Giampaolo Di Paola.
The Glossary comprises over 6,000 terms and covers key areas of NATO-Russia political and military cooperation.
