At least three people were killed and another 17 wounded in a powerful blast in the northwest Pakistani city of Peshawar on Tuesday morning, local television channel Aaj News said citing police sources.
A suicide bomber reportedly blew himself up in front of the local Press Club when a policeman tried to stop him.
The area has been cordoned off, with police and rescuers working at the scene.
The Peshawar Press Club is a venue for local and foreign journalists working in the region.
Peshawar is the capital of the Northwest Frontier Province of Pakistan, which borders Afghanistan.
