On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton won the Democratic nomination for president of the United States by a roll call vote of delegates at the party's convention in Philadelphia. The former Secretary of State defeated US Senator Bernie Sanders. Following the announcement, Sanders' supporters walked out of the DNC and stormed media tents chanting "This is what Democracy looks like."
"On 7/26/16 at approximately 8:30pm, four individuals climbed over an outer perimeter fence and attempted to enter a Secret Service-designated secure zone. The four individuals were immediately arrested without incident by Philadelphia Police and Secret Service personnel," the Secret Service announced in a statement, as quoted by the TV network ABC.
According to the statement, after the arrest, the offenders were transported to the Philadelphia Federal Detention Center.
The 2016 US presidential election will take place in November.
