Mercedes team racing driver Lewis Hamilton won Formula One Russian Grand Prix, Russian Daniil Kvyat finished in 14th place.

MOSCOW, October 12 (RIA Novosti) - Mercedes team racing driver Lewis Hamilton won Formula One Russian Grand Prix, Russian Daniil Kvyat finished in 14th place.

The Russian Grand Prix winner, Lewis Hamilton, has been awarded by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who attended the race.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who held talks with Putin the same day, were also present at the venue.

Hamilton’s race time is 1:31:50.744. Nico Rosberg also from Mercedes team is in the second place, finishing just 24 seconds later than his teammate.

Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas racing for Williams-Mercedes finished in the third place. Bottas has shown today’s best lap time of 1 minute and 40.896 seconds.

After Russian Grand Prix, Mercedes team became the World Constructors Champion-2014 with 565 points, even though Formula One 2014 season is not over yet.

However, other teams will not be able to catch up with Mercedes, as the second-best Infiniti Red Bull Racing team only has 342 points as of today.

The first ever Russia’s Formula One race took place in the southern resort city of Sochi.
