MOSCOW, November 26 (R-Sport) – Lokomotiv Yaroslavl suffered its second consecutive defeat as the team lost to KHL newcomer Slovan Bratislava 3-2 on the road.
Lokomotiv, which saw its nine-game winning streak ended by Lev Prague last week, sits in second in the Western Conference, three points behind SKA St. Petersburg, while Slovan is fifth.
In Sunday’s game in Slovakia, the hosts opened the scoring in the 11th minute on Libor Hudacek’s shot from the left circle, but Emil Galimov equalized ten minutes later on an assist from Columbus Blue Jackets center Artem Anisimov.
New York Islanders defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky put Slovan 2-1 ahead at 31:04 and Lokomotiv evened the game in the 37th minute via Niklas Hagman.
Hudacek scored his second goal of the game in the beginning of the third period to seal the victory.
