MOSCOW, November 20 (R-Sport) - Dynamo Moscow goalkeeper Anton Shunin says he is yet to completely shake off the effects of the flare that was hurled at him from the stands on Saturday.

Shunin was briefly hospitalized with eye and ear injuries after the incident, which led to the referee abandoning the league game against Zenit St. Petersburg after 36 minutes.

"I'm recovering at home with the medicine I was prescribed," Shunin told the website of Dynamo's sponsor, VTB Bank.

"I feel a bit better, but the problems are still there," he said.

Shunin said he was scheduled to have another examination on Wednesday, when the length of the recovery process should become clear.

He called for more stringent laws - exactly the kind that the government is trying to push through - so that "people can go with their families to the football without worrying about their safety."

"We need to close the stands to hooligans, for whom the stadium is just a forum to get their views out. They don't root for their team, but against the opponents."

Police have arrested a female fan they suspect of throwing the smoke bomb that injured Shunin.
