Zenit St. Petersburg say they are providing moral support to Brazil star Hulk amid reports his youngest sister has been kidnapped back home.

MOSCOW, November 6 (R-Sport) – Zenit St. Petersburg say they are providing moral support to Brazil star Hulk amid reports his youngest sister has been kidnapped back home.

According to Brazilian sports portal Globo Esporte, the 22-year-old Angelica Vieira was meeting her friend Helio da Silva on Monday when she was abducted in front of a restaurant around 2 p.m.

Silva was taken to the hospital in a state of shock but later was discharged claiming that Mrs. Vieira was dragged from their car and forced into another vehicle.

Her other brother Alves Thiago said police would consider abduction only 72 hours after her disappearance.

“The club is concerned with the incident, follows the course of events and supports our players in such a tough moment,” Zenit spokesman Evgeny Gusev told R-Sport.

Hulk moved to Zenit from FC Porto for €40 million in September to set up the joint most expensive transfer in the history of Russian football.

Angelica Vieira, one of Hulk's six sisters, is married with two children.

Brazil is no stranger to such episodes.

Such big names as Brazil internationals Robinho, Grafite have paid ransoms to rescue their relatives in recent years, while striker Luis Fabiano had his mother rescued by police in 2005.
