MOSCOW, October 27 (RIA Novosti)
Second seed Juan Martin del Potro eased past Richard Gasquet of France into the final of the Swiss Indoors in Basel on Saturday.
The Argentinian, who qualified for the World Tour Finals this week, racked up eight aces on his way to a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Del Potro, ranked eighth in the world, will face either the defending champion Roger Federer or Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu in the final, in his search for a fourth title of 2012.
The prize fund for the tournament is €1.4 million.
Despite the defeat, Gasquet, 25, still has a slim chance of a place at the Tour Finals.
