MOSCOW, October 16 (RIA Novosti)
Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova demolished local favorite Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in straight sets to reach the second round of the Kremlin Cup on Tuesday.
World No. 28 Shvedova demolished Pavlyuchenkova 6-2, 6-2 for her first win in the main draw in three visits to the Kremlin Cup.
Pavlyuchenkova, ranked 35th, has now lost her first match in all five of her appearances in Moscow to date.
Moscow-born Shvedova's next opponent will be one of two Russians, either seventh seed Maria Kirilenko or Elena Vesnina.
Shvedova has not gotten past the second round of any tournament since Wimbledon in July, where she reached the fourth round before losing to Serena Williams.

It is better to set free at least some of the individuals who deserve to be released than no one at all.
