MOSCOW, October 15 (RIA Novosti)
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Alexey Shved feels trusted by coach Rick Adelman and will try to live up to his expectations he told R-Sport Monday.
Shved joined the Timberwolves in June on a three-year, $10 million contract after leaving CSKA Moscow.
The 23-year-old has already played in three preseason games and racked up 15 points in 27 minutes last time out against the Chicago Bulls.
“We’ve had three games,” Shved said. “I feel the coach’s trust and I'm trying not to let him down.”
Adelman is experimenting with playing Shved in different positions, the Russian said.
“I play as the two, sometimes Adelman makes me play as the one in training,” he said.
“I do not care, but in principle, it is more convenient to play the two, easier. I’ve played all the time in this position.”
When he signed, the Russian said that Adelman’s belief in young players was a major factor in his decision to join the Timberwolves.
Within days of signing Shved, the team brought in veteran Russian forward Andrey Kirilenko, who spent last season at CSKA alongside Shved.

We have witnessed the total defeat of western Ukraine, Western nationalists and the West in general, which made the unfortunate decision to support the anti-government activity. They failed to realize that the collapse of Yanukovych means the collapse of Ukrainian unity. They set fire to their own home and planted a time bomb under Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
