Lokomotiv Moscow have set a target of catching up with leaders Zenit St. Petersburg with three straight wins, the club's ex-Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo said Sunday.

Lokomotiv's next three league games are at home, first against city rivals Dynamo and Spartak before a visit from former champions Rubin Kazan.

After five rounds the team stands third in the table, two points behind Zenit and Spartak, although Zenit have a game in hand.

"We have three games at home ahead. Our target in these games is three wins," Caicedo said on the club website.

"If it works, then we can reach second place, and perhaps catch up with Zenit."

Caicedo joined Lokomotiv on a four-year contract in July 2011 for a reported fee 7.5 million euros, less than a month after joining Levante from Manchester City following a loan spell at the Spanish outfit.

Since arriving in Moscow, the powerful striker has scored eleven goals in 30 games.

Reports in the Spanish media have claimed that Caicedo wants to move to Espanyol and that the two clubs are in talks, but a Lokomotiv official told R-Sport in July that he is not for sale.

An Ecuador international since 2005, Caicedo has earned 32 caps and scored five goals for his country.
