MOSCOW, September 10 (RIA Novosti) – Russia is not planning to sever defense cooperation with its foreign partners, but the Russian industry should be ready to produce critically important equipment and spare parts on its own, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday.
“We have no intentions to artificially severe cooperation with our foreign partners, but we should keep in mind the existing threats. Our industry should be ready to produce critically important equipment, components, materials and have sufficient production capacities, technologies, research and technical potential,” he said.
