North Caucasus hydropower plants should be inspected for compliance with security norms after a deadly attack by militants on a station in the republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, the prosecutor general said.
The president of the republic, Arsen Kanokov, and the country's security chief, Alexander Bortnikov, told President Dmitry Medvedev that security measures needed to be boosted at plants in the volatile region.
