Two people were killed when unknown assailants attacked the Baksan hydropower plant in the southern Russian republic of Kabardino-Balkaria in the North Caucasus, a law enforcement source said.
"At about 5:20 a.m. a group of unknown people burst into the Baksan hydropower plant in the village of Islamei and shot two security guards. Then the unknown assailants made two explosions in the territory of the plant, including the blowing up of the generator," the source said.
