A Tu-204 plane with nine people onboard performed an emergency landing one km from Moscow's Domodedovo airport, an airport spokeswoman told RIA Novosti on Monday.
The plane with nine crew members and no passengers onboard was en route from the Egyptian resort of Hurghada. It did not caught fire.
"At 02:35 Moscow time [23:35 GMT] on Monday a Tu-204 plane performed an emergency landing in a wooded area near the Domodedovo Airport, approximately one km [0.6 miles] from the runway. There were no passengers onboard, only nine crew members," Yelena Galanova said.
Two people are in serious condition, she said.
Firefighting units, rescue teams and ambulances are working at the scene.
