Lavrov: Moscow to Push Kiev to Fulfill Its Constitutional Reform Promise

Moscow will push Kiev to fulfill its promise of holding a constitutional reform in the country, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday.

MOSCOW, September 9 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow will push Kiev to fulfill its promise of holding a constitutional reform in the country, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday.

Russian diplomat said the April 17 Geneva communique, signed by Ukraine, was aimed at starting constitutional reform process that would  involve all regions and political forces of Ukraine.

“The constitutional reform has been put on the back burner, and I have no idea of whether the Kiev authorities are going to return to it,” Lavrov said. “We will push for this promise to be fulfilled.”
