Vladivostok’s Amur Bay hosted a naval parade; then the viewers were shown the theatrical performance We Marched describing the everyday lives of marines, soldiers of special units and crews of naval aviation.

Arrival of Neptune, the god of seas and oceans, with his suit was one of the most spectacular parts of the celebration. Captain Viktor Kravets performed the role of Neptune for the twelfth year straight.

Viktor Chirkov, vice-admiral and the commander of the Baltic Fleet, reviewed the naval parade in Murmansk Region’s Severomorsk, the Northern Fleet’s main base. The swift surfacing of the St. Daniel of Moscow nuclear submarine in front of the people, who gathered to celebrate the event, was the day’s culmination.

The Sevestopol Bay's shores hosted a joint military parade of Russia's Black Sea Fleet and the Ukrainian Navy.
At the beginning of the parade, Russian Black Sea Commander and Rear Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov and Ukrainian Navy Commander and Vice Admiral Yuriy Ilyin reviewed the formation of the two countries’ ships in Sevastopol Bay together on one boat and saluted the sailors.
Guided Missile Air Cushion Ship SAMUM with Russian and Ukrainian flags opened the parade’s marine segment. It was accompanied by a Ukrainian Zaporozhye submarine with the flags of the two countries on it
In total, more than 170 ships and submarines, 150 vehicles and more than 15,000 servicemen were involved in different events devoted to Navy Day in Russia.
