MOSCOW, September 11 (RIA Novosti) - Japan's Foreign Ministry protested a UN report that stated that Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant was "not under control" after the disaster, The Japan Times reported on Thursday.

Japan's Foreign Ministry said that the expression used in the report that the UN released back in 2011 was too strong and that the government of Japan was at the moment underestimating the scale of the disaster, The Japan Times states.

The 2011 UN report claimed that a fire that broke out in a reactor building forced all workers out due to increased radiation.

In response to Japan's allegations, the UN contended that the people of Fukushima would not have felt less concerned if the report had not been published.

The UN's report on Fukushima No.1 nuclear plant has not been revised since 2011.
