MOSCOW, January 2 (RIA Novosti) – Two militants were killed by the Russian security forces in the republic of Dagestan in the North Caucasus on Thursday following an anti-terror operation, the authorities said.
The two had blockaded themselves in an apartment in the town of Khasavyurt, along with a woman and a child. They later released the child, but the woman refused to leave.
“The active phase of the special operation is complete and two members of the armed group have been liquidated,” a security force source told RIA Novosti.
The source did not specify the fate of the woman.
