Investigators in the Russian republic of Tatarstan have opened a criminal case after a 13-year-old girl was found to be engaging in prostitution, the local investigative committee said.
The investigation established that in spring this year a massage parlor in the republic’s second largest city, Naberezhnye Chelny, was operating as a brothel.
“In July 2012, a 13-year-old girl, a seventh-grader at a local school, was engaged in prostitution,” the committee said.
Investigators say they do not exclude that other underage girls worked at the massage parlor.
