Two law enforcement officers were killed in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria on Friday.
Unknown assailants shot dead a traffic police officer, 26, in the republic’s capital, Nalchik, as he was returning home after duty.
An hour later the body of a senior investigator was discovered in his car with gunshot wounds.
The investigator, 31, had worked at a major crimes unit, investigating in particular attacks on law enforcement and military officials.
