Mike Johnson Becomes House Speaker, Gaza Healthcare System Out of Service, US Dollar Weaponized

On today’s episode of The Backstory, host Rachel Blevins discussed current events including Macron wanting Western troops to fight Hamas, and Instagram sued over young people's mental health concerns.

In the first hour, Rachel spoke with former Pentagon security analyst Michael Maloof about the State Department in charge of the Biden foreign policy, the Biden administration has lied to the American people, the Sunni and Shia may unite against Israel. Michael talked about the goals of Netanyahu and his career long goal of having the US attack Iran.

Rachel spoke with political analyst, Republican strategist, and co-host of Fault Lines Melik Abdul about Donald Trump's influence on the Republican choice for House Speaker, Mike Johnson is the most inexperienced House Speaker, and Mark Meadows receives an immunity deal. Melik explained how Mike Johnson was chosen to be House Speaker and Mike Johnson now in charge of passing bills for aid to Ukraine and Israel.

In the second hour, Rachel spoke with Palestinian Human Rights activist Issa Armo about the lack of calls for peace from the US, the healthcare system of Gaza is out of service, and the lack of support for Gaza from the international community. Issa talked about the treatment of Palestinian people in the West Bank and how Israel has mainly killed children and elderly Palestinians in Gaza.

Rachel spoke with founder of ProChain Capital David Tawil about the attempts to get the world to accept green policies, Argentina 's debt, and Elon Musk's comments on the US dollar. David described the problems with replacing the US dollar as the world's reserve currency and how cryptocurrency may be the biggest threat to the US dollar.
