MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting with the national Security Council, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
“We expected the President to hold the Security Council today, that is, a briefing with permanent Security Council members,” Peskov told reporters.
During the meeting Vladimir Putin will discuss preparations for his Turkish counterpart’s visit to St. Petersburg next month.
“In preparation for Turkish President [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan’s planned visit in the first week of August, Putin informed the permanent members of the Security Council of his recent telephone conversations with Erdogan himself and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu,” Peskov said.
