How Turkey’s Approach Toward Syria Destroyed Its Foreign Policy
CAIRO/MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The latest coup attempt in neighboring Turkey would affect the course of events in the Arab Republic, Samir Nashar said.

"It is now too late for the US administration to come to a political solution for the remaining term," Nashar said.

"We must wait and see the consequences of what happened in Turkey for the Syrian revolution and the nature of the struggle," Nashar stressed.

The United States does not support the Syrian opposition, the top Syrian National Coalition member told Sputnik, citing Washington’s willingness to keep rebel-held Aleppo under siege as an argument.

"The US does not support the opposition. If it did, it would not have left Aleppo under siege, it would not have allowed barrel bombs to destroy Syrian cities," Samir Nashar said.

Nashar further accused the United States of failing to adopt a serious stance in support of the opposition.

"There were words, but not actions," the opposition member said.
