The legendary Scottish rock band Nazareth is on tour in Russia's Far East and lead singer Dan McCafferty has got a cold, but this will not effect the group's concerts, tour organizer Kirill Postovoi said on Saturday.

Postovoi refuted earlier news reports that because of McCafferty's illness, the tour would be canceled and the group was attempting to leave Sakhalin Island and return home to Scotland.

McCafferty, 71, caught a slight cold but doctors were able to "unstuff" his nose and the tour continued, he said.

"Yes, Dan McCafferty arrived in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk with a slight cold, but the local doctors quickly remedied him and cleared his vocal chords. In Vladivostok, doctors enhanced the procedures and by the time the tour began, the singer's voice was completely returned," Postovoi told RIA Novosti.

Nazareth, formed in 1968, is best known for their 1975 album Hair of the Dog and hit single of that same year Love Hurts.

The group filled the concert halls in Russia's Vladivostok, Ussuriysk and Nakhodka. McCafferty said they are leaving Russia's Far East "positive emotions and memories."

According to Nazareth's official website, the group will perform March 27 in Kiev, Ukraine, and on March 30 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
