Police in Moscow have detained a woman carrying explosives, a local police source said on Wednesday.
The woman was detained on Tuesday in a park in northwest Moscow, the spokesman said.
Police are investigating where the "manufactured" explosives seized from the woman were purchased, he added.
The incident comes after a man blew himself up with a grenade outside a supermarket in southeast Moscow on Saturday.
Russia saw one of its deadliest terrorist attacks on January 24, when a suicide bomber attacked Moscow's Domodedovo International Airport. The blast, which ripped through the international arrivals zone, killed 36 people and seriously injured dozens.
