One of those seven injured in a bus accident in Russia's southern republic of Kalmykia died in hospital, local emergency services reported.
A passenger bus travelling from Makhachkala in Dagestan to Moscow turned over about 45 km (28 miles) from the village of Yashkul in Kalmykia. Two people died at the scene and seven injured were taken to hospital in the city of Elista, the capital of Kalmykia.
"One of those injured died in hospital," a spokesman for the emergency services reported. The other six injured remain in hospital, he added.
The causes of the tragedy will be established during an investigation, the officials said.
Over 30,000 people lose their lives in traffic accidents in Russia every year. President Medvedev earlier blamed the carnage on the poor state of the country's roads, as well as a "lack of discipline, and the criminal negligence of drivers."
