BERLIN, December 11 (RIA Novosti) - A luxury hotel for dogs will open in Freising, near Munich, on Tuesday, with a "suite" costing at least 80 euros ($105) per night, the company's website said. (VIDEO)
"Before this, there were no five-star hotels for dogs in the world," said Sabine Gerteis, one of the owners.
The Canis Resort offers nine 45-square-meter lodges that can accommodate up to five dogs each. The pets will be able to walk outside and owners will be able to watch them on live webcams.
A 350-square-meter play area and a 24-hour reception will be provided, as well as grooming, training and massage services by trained dog handlers.
The price for a suite depends on the dog's breed, the hotel said but the cost of basic services is the same for all dogs.
The owners plan to open up to 15 luxury kennels in Germany.
