GROZNY, January 15 (RIA Novosti) - The acting prime minister of Chechnya in Russia's North Caucasus demanded Sunday that law enforcement authorities in the republic put a stop to drug trafficking and illegal alcohol trade.
Ramzan Kadyrov said at a meeting with the heads of Chechen law enforcement agencies and state departments, "I give you a one-week time period, and within this period if you have not managed to turn around the situation with the spread and use of drugs and the illegal sale of alcoholic drinks, I will take a decision on staff changes at the top of the relevant departments."
The acting premier also stressed the importance of discipline among law enforcement agencies.
