The agreement will help Russia and Germany expand their bilateral trade. In addition to foreign trade financing, the two banks will be able to jointly implement the investment projects of Russian and German companies, the press office said.
German export insurance agency Hermes will provide insurance coverage for joint projects to be implemented by Rosselkhozbank and Bankgesellschaft Berlin AG, the press office said.
Recently, Rosselkhozbank signed a loan agreement with Spain's Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria to finance the supplies of Spanish agricultural machinery to Russia against the guarantees of Spanish export insurance agency CESCE.
According to the Central Bank, State-owned Rosselkhozbank is one of Russia's top 30 banks in terms of their assets.
