MOSCOW, October 14 (RIA Novosti) - The chief executives of Gazprom and Chevron discussed the U.S. company's proposals on the development of the Shtokman natural gas field, the Russian natural gas giant's press service said Friday.
Alexei Miller and David J. O'Reilly also discussed joint liquefied natural gas production and the use of Chevron regasification capacities in the United States.
The Gazprom-operated Shtokman natural gas field is located in the Russian sector of the Barents Sea and is estimated to contain 3.2 trillion cu m of natural gas.
Chevron is on the Gazprom shortlist of potential partners for the Shtokman field development.
