Miss Russia 1998 and former Miss Universe semifinalist Anna Malova, charged with forging drug prescriptions, has been sent back to jail in the United States after getting thrown out of a drug rehab program, the New York Post reported on Tuesday.
Malova, 39, was arrested in February 2010 on charges of illegal drug possession, forgery and impersonating a physician. She is suspected of stealing prescription sheets from her doctors in order to get access to Vicodin and Klonopin. Besides illegal possession of drugs she was also charged with forgery and impersonating a physician, charges she denied.
The U.S. court included her in a 12-month drug addiction treatment program. She was to be relased in June, however, the clinic decided to expel her for bad behavior, in particular, for assault and battery.
Her court appearance is scheduled for next week. The former Miss Russia could face seven years in prison and deportation from the U.S.
