US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign chair John Podesta used own name and the word password as mailbox login and password, according to Podesta's alleged emails released by WikiLeaks whistleblowing website.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign chair John Podesta lost his phone in 2015 and used an insecure passwords for his mailbox, according to Podesta's alleged emails released by WikiLeaks whistleblowing website on Monday.

"I lost my phone this am. It must have fallen off my belt getting in or out of the cab," an email allegedly sent by Podesta on July 19, 2015, reads.

Another letter sent to Podesta by his assistant in February 2015 revealed that Clinton’s campaign chair used own name and the word password as mailbox login and password. The same letter exchange made it clear that Podesta used University of Georgetown mailbox and some of his assistants knew the password to it.

WikiLeaks released the first batch of emails on October 8. On October 20, the whistleblowing site also published a bunch of letters allegedly sent to or by Barack Obama before he became US president.
