MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Gazprom's export to the European market may reach well over 170 billion cubic meters of gas in 2016, which is 10 billion cubic meters more than the previous record, President of the Russian Gas Society Pavel Zavalny said Tuesday.
"The export to the European market shows confident growth this year and can reach the record high… In 11 months, more than 160 billion of cubic meters [of gas] have been delivered. According to the estimates, no less than 10 billion of cubic meters may be delivered in December, and that means that gas exports will reach more than 170 billion of cubic meters. It is an absolute record," Zavalny said at Gas of Russia 2016 Forum.
Zavalny added that last year Gazrom delivered 159.5 billion cubic meters of gas to the European market, while the previous record was 160 billion cubic meters.
