UNITED NATIONS, July 31 (RIA Novosti) – Russia submitted to the United Nations and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) its data of objective area surveillance over the Malaysian Boeing crash site in Ukraine, Russian Ambassador to UN Vitaly Churkin told UN Security Council Wednesday.
“We submitted to the international organizations, including UN and OSCE, the data of objective area surveillance over the site of the catastrophe. We count on others to act just as specifically and constructively instead of spreading groundless accusations and insinuations,” Churkin said.
According to the diplomat, Russian experts started working on the site of the crash immediately after receiving such a request from the Dutch side, which leads the international investigation into the causes of the tragedy.
Malaysia Airlines MH17 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur went down in eastern Ukraine on July 17. All 298 people on board, including 193 Dutch nationals, died in the crash.
