A story of how the Pentagon had fingers crossed when agreeing to a ceasefire.

In the beginning of September, after it was clearly evident that Syrian government forces are about to annihilate every terrorist in the city of Aleppo, the US reached out for a truce. Despite the fact that US representatives neglected to separate terrorist factions from the so called “moderate” rebels, Moscow Foreign Ministry was quick to jump on the deal since stability in Syria directly translates into a more stable Middle East. Unfortunately for the Syrian people the arrangement did not last. Five days into a relatively quiet ceasefire US coalition warplanes incinerated a Syrian army base in a strategic city of Deir-Ez-Zor claiming they were targeting Daesh terrorists on the run, but ended up killing over 60 Syrian soldiers by mistake. This mistake has not only delivered death just like Pentagon's accidental attack on MSF hospital in Afghanistan, but effectively ended the ceasefire. It's hard to imagine that Pentagon did not see it coming. Bill Hicks, George Carlin, and Louis CK deliver the funny, while Ali Rizk (independent Middle East expert and commentator from Lebanon) shares his professional opinion.
