US Secretary of State John Kerry and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin agree on the need to speed up implementation of the Minsk agreements to settle the conflict in eastern Ukraine, US Department of State spokesman Mark Toner said on Wednesday.

Kerry Calls on Russia to Work With NATO to Implement Minsk Deal
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Kerry and Klimkin met on the sidelines of a NATO ministerial meeting in Brussels, Belgium.

"Secretary and Foreign Minister Klimkin agreed on the need to accelerate implementation of the Minsk agreements as the best way to bring peace to eastern Ukraine," Toner stated.

During the talks, Kerry also expressed concerns about the increase in violence in eastern Ukraine and urged continuous progress on reforms in the country, Toner added.
