MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On July 15, an attempted coup took place in Turkey, but was suppressed the following day. Over 40,000 people have been detained since the attempted overthrow of the Turkish government that led to over 260 deaths.
"There will be a new attempt [of a coup], allegedly, it will be tonight, or they will come tomorrow… This is a pack of lies, that FETO spreads to lay the basis for social unrest," Yildirim told journalists on Saturday, adding that the police took all the necessary measures to prevent the attempt.
