Russia is fully ready to continue dialogue with US on joint actions to combat terrorists in Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry stated on Thursday.

Russia is ready to continue anti-terrorist cooperation with the United States despite Washington's latest hints of terrorist threats against Russia, Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said Thursday, reminding the US of a code of honor in relation to the threat.

US Threatens to Suspend Engagement With Russia in Syria Over Aleppo Situation
US State Department spokesman John Kirby said at a press briefing Wednesday that the ongoing conflict in Syria could "no question" spill over into "attacks against Russian interests, perhaps even Russian cities, and Russia will continue to send troops home in body bags."

"Having changed the admiral's jacket for a suit, one should not forget about an officer's code of honor. One again we declare that we are fully prepared to continue dialogue with the US on joint actions to combat terrorists in Syria," Konashenkov said.

"This dialogue should exclude even hints of a threat to our soldiers and Russian citizens," he maintained.

The spokesman pointed out that Russia is aware of "exactly where in Syria and how many, including in the Aleppo province, there are behind-the-scenes 'experts' involved in tactical planning and leading militant operations."

Moreover Russia and the US continue to find ways to make Syria ceasifire agreement work, neither of them said it was 'over', Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.
