TULA, April 18 (RIA Novosti) - Investigators in Central Russia’s Kursk Region have launched a criminal case against a woman suspected of stabbing her husband to death in a dispute about going to church, the regional investigative department said in a statement on Thursday.
Investigators believe that the 34-year-old woman killed her 39-year-old husband on April 13, “in a dispute that broke out when the woman refused to go to church.”
“During the conflict, the suspect took a kitchen knife and stabbed her husband in the chest. The victim later died of his injury,” the statement said.
A criminal case was launched on charges of murder. The woman has been detained and a court is to decide soon on whether she should be placed in custody.
