TOMSK (Sputnik) – It is time for soldiers to become not just fighters, we are shifting to intellectual armament systems, he said.

"Syria showed today that the future belongs to robotic complexes and unmanned aerial systems. There are very few of us – slightly more than 145 million – to defend such a huge territory. [It is high time] for soldiers to become not just fighters, we are shifting to intellectual armament systems," Rogozin said.

Russia launched its anti-terror aerial operation in Syria in 2015 on the request of the Syrian government.
