US President Barack Obama stated that Mosul will be a difficult fight, but he is confident the Daesh terrorist group will be defeated.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The operation to liberate the Iraqi city of Mosul form the Islamic State terror group will be challenging and is likely to encounter setbacks, President Barack Obama stated in a press conference on Tuesday.

"Mosul will be a difficult fight, and there will be advances and there will be setbacks, but I am confident…ISIL [Islamic State] will be defeated in Mosul as well," Obama said after a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
