DAMASCUS (Sputnik) — US military arrived to prepare attacks against Daesh positions located in the northern parts of Aleppo, the channel said.
The broadcaster added that the appearance of US soldiers immediately caused tensions between the militants of Jabhat Fatah al Sham, previously known as the Nusra Front, and FSA troops. Extremists from Jabhat Fatah al Sham called for "a fight with the Americans" and burnt several FSA flags, according to Al Mayadeen.
The Free Syrian Army was Damascus' major challenger at the beginning of the conflict when it managed to unite nearly all opposition factions considered by the West to be the so-called moderate opposition. The FSA split into several groups and shrank to some 60 units, which are allied to Jabhat Fatah al Sham, according to the Syrian intelligence.
The Islamic State (IS), or Daesh in Arabic, is a terrorist organization outlawed in Russia, the United States and several states around the world.
