Israel is ready to discuss the Arab Peace Initiative to reach a settlement of the conflict with Palestine, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

TEL AVIV (Sputnik) — The proposal, aimed at ending the Arab–Israeli conflict, was adopted by the Arab League in 2002. The Arab nations pledged to normalize relations with Israel after the country withdraws from the territories occupied in 1967.

"The Arab Peace Initiative includes positive elements that can revive constructive negotiations with the Palestinians. We are ready to discuss the adjustments to the initiative with the Arab countries, so that it reflects the dramatic changes that have occurred in the region since 2002, but maintained the agreed goal of the 'two-state solution," Netanyahu told the parliament on Monday.
