"I want Monday’s meeting to be the start of a new grown up relationship between the devolved administrations and the UK Government – one in which we all work together to forge the future for everyone in the United Kingdom," May said.
On Monday, the meeting of the Joint Ministerial Committee, comprising governments of the United Kingdom, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, will be held for the first time since December 2014.
The devolved administration leaders, namely, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, her counterparts from Wales, Carwyn Jones, and Northern Ireland, Arlene Foster, as well as Northern Irish Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, are expected to meet UK Prime Minister Theresa May at the JMC meeting at Downing Street primarily to discuss cooperation in elaborating the best way to carry out the Brexit process.
